Terms and refund policy
These terms apply when you book an event with Parklands Mosque on this website. By booking, you agree to them.
Bookings and prices
- The Tafseer and other programme items marked free are open to everyone without booking. Meals are booked in advance so the kitchen knows how many to cook for.
- Prices are shown on each event in Kenya shillings. Adults are 11 and over, children 6 to 10 pay the child price, and children under 6 are free but still need a pass.
- Ages are worked out from the year of birth you give. Please give correct details: passes for the wrong age band may be refused at the door.
- Each hall has a limit. When a hall is full, booking for that hall closes. Registration closes at the time shown on the event.
Payment
- Payments are taken by Paystack, by M-Pesa or card. We never see your card number or M-Pesa PIN.
- Your seats are held for 15 minutes while you pay. A booking is only confirmed once Paystack confirms the full payment to us.
- If you choose to sponsor meals for guests, that amount is a donation (sadaqah) to the masjid's event fund.
Passes and wristbands
- Every person gets their own pass with a QR code. Each QR code can be used once. Do not share screenshots of passes: a pass that has already been used will be refused.
- At the desk, volunteers scan the pass and give a wristband. Keep it on for the meal. A lost wristband can only be replaced by a committee member.
- Children sit in the hall shown on their pass.
Refunds and transfers
Payments are not refundable, because food is ordered for every booking. You can transfer a pass to someone else by contacting us.
- To transfer a pass, contact us with your booking reference and the new person's name.
- Any refund is paid back through Paystack to the M-Pesa number or card you paid with. It can take a few working days to arrive.
- If Parklands Mosque cancels an event, everyone who paid gets a full refund.
At the event
- Please follow the masjid's etiquette and the directions of volunteers. The committee may refuse entry or ask someone to leave if needed for the safety or comfort of others.
- The programme and timings may change. We will email you if anything important changes.
- Questions sent through “Ask the Imam” are checked by a moderator first, and may not all be answered.
